1. Is the EvoMo R1 Series suitable for my property?
The EvoMo R1 Series is designed for routine mowing across lawns, orchards and landscaped grounds. Suitability depends on access, terrain and grass conditions. Autonomous operation requires suitable positioning signal conditions for both models. The R1 also needs a suitable radio link, while the R1 S requires mobile network coverage. 2. What is the difference between the R1 and R1 S?
Both the R1 and R1 S support autonomous mowing and remote-controlled operation using the H12 Pro controller. The R1 uses a radio link for autonomous operation without SIM cards; its radar detects obstacles and stops the mower, but does not automatically navigate around them. The R1 S uses two SIM cards, one in the mower and one in the ground base station, and supports both obstacle stopping and automatic obstacle avoidance. A charging station is included with the R1 S.
3. Can the R1 Series work around trees and obstacles?
Both models detect obstacles using radar. During autonomous mowing, the R1 stops when it detects an obstacle and does not automatically navigate around it. The R1 S supports both obstacle stopping and automatic avoidance when configured with two SIM cards. During remote-controlled operation, the operator steers the mower around obstacles. Assess the working area and remove loose debris before mowing.
4. Do I need SIM cards to use the R1 or R1 S?
The R1 radio model supports autonomous mowing without SIM cards. The R1 S network model requires two SIM cards for autonomous operation: one in the mower and one in the ground base station, with suitable mobile network coverage. Both models support remote-controlled operation using the H12 Pro controller without SIM cards.
5. How long can the R1 Series mow on one charge?
The R1 Series provides up to 2 hours of mowing per charge with its 48 Ah battery. Actual runtime varies with grass conditions, terrain and operating settings.
6. Is automatic charging included?
The R1 S network model includes a charging station; the R1 radio model does not. Once mapping is complete and mowing has started, recall the R1 S to its starting point. It automatically reverses into the charging station and begins charging.
7. Can the R1 Series mow in wet weather?
For best results, mow in dry conditions. Wet grass can reduce traction and increase clipping build-up. Do not operate the R1 Series in heavy rain, thunderstorms or snow.
8. What maintenance does the mower require?
Keep the blades, wheels and cutting deck clean and inspect them for wear or damage. Switch off the mower before cleaning or maintenance, and do not use a high-pressure washer. Follow the manual for your model for inspection intervals, blade replacement, battery care and storage.
