Is the R1 suitable for my property?
The R1 is designed for routine mowing across lawns, orchards and landscaped grounds. Suitability depends on access, ground conditions and satellite signal coverage, and working slopes must not exceed 20°. Share your site details and photos with our team to help assess suitability.
How is the mowing area set up?
The R1 uses virtual boundaries, so no perimeter wire is required. During setup, you use the remote controller and SmartNavi app to mark the working area, define no-go zones and save a mowing route. The positioning antenna needs an open location with a clear view of the sky.
Can the R1 work around trees and obstacles?
Yes, with suitable site planning. Trees, large rocks and other fixed obstacles should be marked as no-go zones during setup. Optional LiDAR supports obstacle detection and stopping or avoidance, but does not replace no-go zone mapping. Remove loose debris before mowing.
Does the R1 need an internet connection?
Connectivity depends on the configuration. The Network version uses a mobile data connection, while the Radio version supports autonomous mowing without mobile network coverage through its radio link. App registration and some connected functions require internet access. Our team can confirm the requirements for your selected configuration.
How long can the R1 mow on one charge?
The R1 provides up to 2 hours of mowing per charge with its 48 Ah battery. Actual runtime varies with grass conditions, terrain and operating settings.
Does the R1 recharge automatically?
Automatic return-to-charge and mowing resumption are available on compatible R1 models equipped with the optional charging station. The standard version requires manual charging.
Can the R1 mow in wet weather?
For best results, mow in dry conditions. Wet grass can reduce traction and increase clipping build-up. Do not operate the R1 in heavy rain, thunderstorms or snow.
What maintenance does the R1 require?
Inspect the R1 weekly and keep the blades, wheels, cutting deck and charging contacts clean. Switch off the mower before cleaning or maintenance, and do not use a high-pressure washer. Replace worn or damaged blades and screws, and follow the manual’s battery care and storage instructions.
